The Whistler DE-1793 SE is Whistler's top of the line model. It is simply an outstanding detector for the price. Tests have shown that it has almost the range of the high end models from Bel and Escort at only a fraction of the cost. The DE-1793 SE is also one of the only detectors available at this time that can detect the POP mode of the new Bee III radar gun from MPH Industries.
Even with the outstanding detection ability, the DE-1793 SE also offers an alpha numeric display, real voice alerts, a digital compass, and even a memo recorder! The Whistler DE-1793SE responds to all types of radar currently in use by police, and provides 360 degree detection of all types of laser guns laser. The Whistler DE-1793 SE is immune to the VG-2 detector, and provides alerts when VG-2 is in use. The alpha-numeric display allows for full support of SWS alerts, including detailed information messages.
